Terms
The short version: be decent, and this stays a good place to talk.
{ USING THIS SITE }
By using chadwiki.com you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. The articles and pages are provided as is, for general information; take them as one person's notes, not professional advice. If you don't agree, please don't create an account or post.
{ ACCOUNTS }
Posting comments, ratings and reactions needs an account. You sign in with a passkey or email through our sign-in provider, Hanko. Please keep your sign-in secure, use one account per person, and choose a username you're comfortable showing publicly: it appears next to everything you post.
{ COMMENT RULES }
Comments are a conversation about the post they sit under. When you comment, you agree to:
- Be respectful. No harassment, bullying, hate speech, or threats, toward anyone.
- Keep it legal. No content that breaks the law or that encourages others to.
- Protect privacy. Don't post anyone's personal information (yours or someone else's), and don't impersonate people.
- No spam. No ads, affiliate or promotional links, repeated posts, or automated posting.
- No harmful links or files. Nothing that carries malware, scams, or phishing.
- Only post what you have the right to post. Don't paste others' copyrighted work.
- Stay on topic. Disagree with ideas freely; criticise arguments, not people.
{ MODERATION }
Your first comment is held until a moderator approves it. After that, comments from you appear straight away but can still be reviewed. Moderators may publish, hide, or delete any comment, and may remove ratings, at their discretion and without notice. Repeated or serious breaches can lead to your commenting being switched off. Use the Report link on a comment to flag a problem. These decisions are discretionary and not open to negotiation, but if you think we got one wrong, tell us.
{ YOUR CONTENT }
What you write stays yours. By posting, you give chadwiki permission to display it on this site for as long as it is published here. You can ask for a comment or rating of yours to be removed at any time through the contact page.
{ WHAT WE KEEP }
For comments and ratings we keep what you submit (the text, rating, reactions and timestamps) and your public username, plus an irreversible hashed identifier of your account that lets us moderate and stop duplicate ratings without storing your email alongside your comments. Your IP address is used briefly to limit abuse. See the Privacy Policy for the rest.
{ CHANGES }
These terms may change. When they change materially you'll be asked to agree again before signing in.
